of Art in 1955, then Slade Diploma in Fine Art in sculpture
and etching. She started painting in 1969 after the youngest
child was born, and has exhibited with her husband, Chris,
for the last 30 years. Her paintings are mostly of growing
plants.
In 1990,
like Chris, she became is a founder member of the newly formed
Suffolk Group and has shown with them every year since.
The Sinclairs
have taken part in the Suffolk 'Open Studios' programme and
have shown in various venues around the country.
As well
as painting in watercolours, pastels and oils, Wendy produces
prints by etching on copper plates using an ancient spider-wheel
press. Lino prints in colour and, recently, wood cuts, are
also made using the press. Wendy also undertakes carved lettering
from time to time.
